This version uses the bassline and some sound effects from Peter Howell's 1980 arrangement of the theme, with the melody and other effects from Delia Derbyshire's 1970 version (with Brian Hodgson's Tardis sound effect plonked over the top, like the '72 single mix). I can hear the grinding of teeth from here. There is no reason for this to exist, but it does, so tough. Anyway, I've heard plenty worse manglings of this most iconic piece of music, so... nyah.
