'My Soul in Stillness Waits' - 2024 Video Christmas Card

HOPE is the theme of this year’s Christmas Card video, which is based on the beautiful hymn ‘My Soul in Stillness Waits’ by Marty Haugen. In this holy season of Advent and Christmas, amidst our personal struggles and blessed joys, we recall the reflection on hope from American Trappist monk Thomas Merton - 'I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.' Jesus came into the world on Christmas as the preeminent sign that He is indeed always with us, and that our hope in Him is secure.

In this year's video, we are reminded through images of various life challenges, victories, and cultures that Hope is a universal emotion, and that the only true foundation for our hope is our God - all other wordly pursuits for lasting hope will always fall short. Let our lives sing out in ways that reflect the words of the prophet Micah - ‘But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I will wait for God my savior, my God will hear me!’
