Electric cars are very popular with people concerned about the impact of climate change on life on Earth. But the whole climate debate in Australia and the USA hides many other issues we are not addressing. Obesity and depression are growing issues in towns and cities. Finding time for recreation and slowing down to get to know our neighboursare all issues in growing urban centres. If we really want to fix things, we need to do a lot more than buy an electric car, as good as that is.
