Being a "Light Skinned" Mixed Guy with "Light Skinned" Mixed Privilege

I recorded this about a week ago, and have been really thinking about if this properly communicates the thoughts in my head. Honestly, they're all over the place because I'm two races. They've always been everywhere, so I'm just gonna post it. One thing's certain, though: I love being mixed. It’s cool because you get to confuse the heck outta people. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked, “what are you?” then I’d be rich. Filthy rich.

It has its weird moments, too. To white people, I’m black. To black people, I’m white. To both, I'm perceived as “light skinned."

Let's talk about my journey relating and identifying with both halves of me, recognizing what "mixed privilege" is, and where a biracial man fits into the #BlackLivesMatter conversation.
