*All testings are set using the same track conditions as the Le Mans 700PP event which is fuel at 6x & tire wear at 6x. All cars tested mostly fully tuned with all available parts installed. PP requirements met by adjusting weight, power restrictor, etc². All cars go through a clean 1 lap run on fuel map 6 repeated 3x & the fastest time is selected.

Conclusion:
Why not start off the 1.54 update testing with a bang! Costing a whopping 20M in-game.. The W196R! FYI, there are 2 versions of the W196R. This one added in GT7 is also known as the 'Monoposto' version for its single seater & open wheel layout. There is also another variant called the 'Streamliner' also a single seater with fairing. Out of all the W196R variant Polyphony chose to feature the #10 as its stock livery which was driven by the F1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio that won the '55 Belgian GP. The W196R won 9 out of 12 races it entered & managed to secure 2 world championships! If that doesn't explain what a beast of car this was back then I don't know what will. In-game, this car is also really good! What impressed me was despite being an old F1 racer it still manages to hold its own with a very decent top speed, good handling & extremely good fuel consumption! 7 laps on fuel map 6 & 5 laps on fuel map 1 is phenomenal! Laps times are really good as well. However, the only letdown of this car is no surprise.. It's brakes. Overall, with how it performs it is another viable car to use for the 700PP Le Mans grind! The price however I'll let you be the judge of that. For 20M you could instead buy multiple cars that could match this in terms of performance & fuel saving.
