Obstetrical & Gynecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB) is a non-profit organization comprised of Bangladeshi specialists in obstetrics and gynecology. OGSB works on a variety of women's issues, including female education, health, and mental health. OGSB was founded in 1972 in war-torn Bangladesh in an effort to ameliorate the dreadful condition of our female society. Currently, OGSB has 18 branches nationwide with 2,600 members. During the liberation war of Bangladesh, OGSB was the first organization to request government assistance for wounded and abused women.
Under several national and international health and government sponsorships, this organization is currently working relentlessly to reduce the maternal and infant mortality rate. Everyone acknowledges this organization's contribution to the decrease of the maternal mortality rate in Bangladesh. The organization routinely organizes national and international
conferences to improve maternal and women's health in Bangladesh through the provision of comprehensive medical care and the dissemination of relevant information.
