A short but fantastically scenic flight from Broadford Isle of Skye to Plockton via the Skye bridge and the Inner Sound. The colour of the water of the Inner Sound was a magical azure; what you see on the video is entirely genuine.
Arrival into Plockton was made more interesting by a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter landing just before me. I remained offshore for a couple of minutes to allow his rotor wash to dissipate, and my subsequent approach was a high and steep glide to land beyond the point of his touchdown to minimise any effect on my small and light gyro. The steep S-turns you see on the video are a way of losing height steeply; and also because I second-guessed my IDP (initial descent point), adding power to then make me too high and too close.
