Longdong Village, situated in the mid-mountain area of Emeishan Scenic Zone, Huangwan Town, Emeishan City, Leshan, Sichuan Province, borders the Emeishan Scenic Area to the east, Qili Village to the south and west, and Jingshui Village to the north, about 28 km from downtown Emeishan, at elevations of 1,000-1,720 meters. Comprising 6 villager groups, it spans 42.73 square kilometers with 763 households and 1,934 residents (1,159 registered permanent residents), including 39 eco-relocated households (87 people) and 56 party members. Named after its mysterious dragon cave karst system, the village has a long history and simple folkways, serving as a key node on the Tea Horse Road branch line. Benefiting from Emeishan's Buddhist culture and eco-resources, villagers sustain themselves through tea planting, fruit and vegetable farming, and tourism services, with strong neighborly bonds.
The natural scenery is stunning—layered green hills, babbling streams: spring bamboo seas and fragrant tea gardens, summer cave explorations amid mists, autumn fruit scents and colorful foliage, winter snow like a fairyland.
