I really hope there are some people out there who understand why I wanted to cover a hymn sung by a murderous priest in the 69 (nice) year old B&W american masterpiece of expressionist tinged noir that is The Night of the Hunter. Do you have an insufferable film friend? Show them this cover!
But seriously, The Night of the Hunter is a wildly ambitious film that blew me away when I got to see it for the first time in my local theater. Its on those lists of best american films for a reason and you should absolutely check it out if you have the chance to.
