Walking to the Cascade del Zurreon

This is an easy walk, only two kilometres.

Elevation Start at 578m to max elevation 610m.
Be careful if the ground is wet, the wooden pathways near the river are very slippery.

An intricate system of irrigation ditches, branches, and pools, dating back to medieval times, facilitated the cultivation of the rich and productive orchards surrounding the river Zurreón. Centuries-old fig, pomegranate, and walnut trees create an environment where the Muslim influence is evident, as these species are characteristic of the medieval agricultural system. The centuries-old walnut trees of this authentic archaeological landscape appear as a remnant of another traditional activity, the pickling and washing of animal hides.
