British Airways Airbus A380-842 | London Heathrow to Miami

Back across the pond, and off to the sunny state of Florida on the worlds biggest passenger jet.

The aircraft felt quite dated compared to other aircraft in BA's fleet. The inflight entertainment wasn't very responsive and half way through the flight the IFE system actually crashed and had to be reloaded. The audio for the ife with the provided headphones was actually atrocious, so bad you couldn't really watch a film and enjoy it which was a shame as BA did have a good variety of films to offer

We started at an overcast Heathrow Airport T5 where we had an hour delay on departure due to the late arrival of the aircraft, which wasn't too bad. The clouds began to clear up as we reached the West coast of Ireland and out to the Atlantic. We then cruised along the East coast of the US where some views of Bangor, ME and Norfolk, VA were visible. We started our descent off the coast of the Floridian peninsula where we get some great views of Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Anyway a decent trip across the pond just a shame about the poor IFE systems which could definitely do with modernising. Other than that everything else was fine and enjoyable. The meal services were decent on this trip too including snacks, lunch, ice creams and a good few drink services.
