: Clarinettist and vocalist Roy Pellett turned professional in 1960 and since that time he has played with Rod Mason, Max Collie and Bob Wallis as well as leading his own bands. His Plymouth based Hot Four appeared at every one of the first 15 Bude Festivals and he has appeared more recently with his newly launched Dixie Five. The band has been an immediate success with their spirited yet polished performances of classic jazz from the 1920s & 30s, and we are delighted to invite them back. Steve Graham (trumpet); Eddie Edwards (banjo); Geoff Miller (bass) and Barry Nicholls (drums) complete the superb line-up. Special guests Keith Nichols and Spats Langham join them for this session.
