On Saturday, February 8, Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center and Pūlama Lānaʻi’s Culture and Historic Preservation Department hosted an event to help preserve and restore the Hiʻi Agricultural Heiau. Volunteers worked together to outplant ʻōhiʻa lehua and ʻaʻaliʻi while removing invasive weeds, helping to protect and revitalize the area. As a mahalo for their kōkua, participants received huli kalo from our nursery. Watch as our community comes together to mālama ʻāina and honor Lānaʻi’s rich cultural heritage!
