When the legendary F-101 Voodoo is talked about, all the focus is generally placed on the interceptor and recon versions of the type. But the original F-101A and C models were actually good aircraft in their own right and did solid service during the late 1950s and early 1960s. This video focuses on the adventures and misadventures of the under-appreciated tactical Voodoo.
Sources:
Books on the Voodoo are thin on the ground. I referenced:
"The F-101 Voodoo In Detail And Scale", which is okay, but not the best of that generally useful series
"Voodoo" by Lou Drendel and Paul Stephens. Again, this is okay if you can find a copy, but not essential reading
"Voodoo Warriors" by Group Captain Nigel Walpole is better and readily available, although light on the development story and the tactical aircraft
Otherwise, this blog is an excellent resource on the Model 96 pod: https://fighterwriter101.blogspot.com...
