The Whatnauts - I Can't Stand To See You Cry

The Whatnauts hail from Baltimore , and consisted of Garnett Jones, Chunky Pinkney, Billy Herndon, and the mysterious 'Ray'. After their 1st album, Ray was gone. They are perhaps best known for 'I'll Ease Away Your Pain' from '71, or perhaps backing Linda Jones. Pookie likes this melancholy ballad from 1973. Done with George Kerr, it moves slow and sweet. The Whatnauts made a bit of a comeback in 1982, but it was short lived. Enjoy one from the back of the crate.
