This is by far one of the most interesting and unique phases of my SFM career. Coincided with becoming a fan of Jason Bourne for the first time , this seemed to be one of my most ambitious projects of all time.

and MY GOD, IT'S CRINGE AS HELL!! 😆

For those unfamiliar, "The 209 Team" was intended to be a SFM series loosely based on The Bourne Trilogy, featuring characters such as Mario, Sonic, Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, ... and me? ...yeah, I'm not kidding. But hey, I'd give points for originality. I guess?

Anyways, while the first episode was produced (as what you see here), the project was eventually scrapped as during development, I've hit writer's block and realized the whole thing was basically a retelling of The Bourne Trilogy, but with disfigured crossover characters, and nonsense story telling. Adding to that, let's be honest. Trying to tell a serious dramatic story with cartoon characters, turning them into cold-blooded assassins/spies with very distinctive appearances in the world of espionage, running from a government agency, is straight-up ridiculous (let alone, possible).

t h a n k , g o d I've made that decision to cancel the series.

As much as I cringe every time I watch this, it is nonetheless part of history and not only does it show my growth in SFM, it was also a creative era at the time. This was literally my imagination unfiltered for better or worse. This was also my first time scoring for my own animations. Having only a few months of experience in music production, hence the basic synths and drums you hear in the background.
