🦆 Title: Weng Kee Roast Duck – Juicy, Flavorful & Worth the Trip!
Hey food lovers! Today’s adventure brings me to Weng Kee Roast Duck in Kepong — a local favorite that’s takeaway only, but well-loved by roast meat fans all around!
I dropped by on a Wednesday around 1:30 pm, and to my surprise, the queue wasn’t that long. Just a few customers ahead, and service was pretty smooth. The smell of the roasted duck filled the air — already promising something good. 😋
I ordered half a roast duck, three duck feet rolls, and some mixed pork cuts/offals. The roast duck was spot on — juicy, tender, and rich in smoky flavor. The skin had a nice roasted aroma without being greasy — simple perfection.
The duck feet rolls were a pleasant surprise — soft, savoury, and full of that old-school flavor. The mixed pork cuts added texture and variety — some lean, some fatty, all delicious.
Their signature dish is definitely the roast duck, but Weng Kee also serves char siew, siu yuk, and other roast meats that are just as tempting.
A small note — their Vietnamese helper was away visiting her ill mother, so Uncle Weng was handling things on his own that day. Still, he managed it well — calm, friendly, and efficient. Respect to him for that! 👏
Overall, Weng Kee Roast Duck is one of Kepong’s hidden gems — tasty roast duck, fair prices, and friendly service. Just remember, they’re closed on Thursdays, so plan your visit accordingly!
