Giyuu reached forward, his hands snagging on a green and yellow checkered hoari. He couldn’t see from his eye.. Why couldn’t he see? Who were these people holding him? Why was Sabito leaving?!?

“Don’t go!” He sobbed, watching the fox mask look down to see him.

He couldn’t see the boys face but by his movements he was hesitating. He kneeled down, looked behind Giyuu before placing his mask on the boys head. He would’ve been a kiss on the forehead. Giyuu felt his cheeks heat up besides the fact that it really wasn’t a kiss.

“I have to,” the boy whispered softly before turning around and running.

Giyuu could only watch helplessly as the boy got farther away, he reached his hand in a weak attempt to bring him back before his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fainted.


Giyuu groaned as he pushed himself up, a hand coming up to lightly press at the bandages that wrapped around his head.

“Where am I..” he asked sleepily, looking around before his eyes landed on a sheepishly looking boy

“Um.. your Giyuu right?” the boy asked, glancing around nervously. Giyuu noted he was also injured.


“I was told to tell you.. He died during the selection…”



“What”




Giyuu choked on a sob, his eyes widened as tears poured down his cheeks. The boy looked helpless as he tried to comfort the sobbing boy. Giyuu looked down at his lap, noticing the plate of food next to him as rage controlled him to throw the food to the side. He couldn’t breathe. Where was the air going? Why was it so hard to get anything out of his throat? He hunched over in agony, the small room was flooded with his sobs and wails as he screamed into the futon he was laying on. It hurts to cry. His bandages were being soaked with a mixture of blood and tears. He felt bile collect in his throat. He needed to breathe. Giyuu used one hand to grab his throat and the other to repeatedly slam his fist onto his futon. The boy next to him tried to comfort him, but he ran out to find a kakushi.
