Newly released incident reports and 911 transcripts are shedding light on the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. A first responder reported that Good suffered gunshot wounds to her chest, left forearm and head and was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived, according to records obtained by Scripps News.
The documents, released after Scripps News filed public records requests, also include 911 call transcripts describing what witnesses say they saw moments after the shooting. In one call, a witness told an operator that an ICE officer fired shots through Good’s windshield as she was driving. Other callers described a chaotic and graphic scene following the shooting.
No audio from the 911 calls has been released, but the transcripts provide new insight into the incident and the immediate response. Scripps News expects additional records to be released in the coming days as scrutiny over ICE enforcement actions continues.
