At Collinwood High School, students partner with the community
to reinvigorate the neighborhood. Students work with classmates
to conduct research, collaborate and engage in project-based
learning, proven to prepare them for a 21st Century workforce.
As part of the community partnership, career and technical
education is being reintroduced to school.
Collinwood’s approach to preparing students for college and
career helps them learn who they are and how to be successful in
school and in life through:
• a foundation of trust, respect and responsibility.
• classes where students use knowledge from across content
areas to solve complex real-world problems.
• a culture of collaboration where students hold themselves
and each other accountable for success.
• a sense of ownership on the part of each student for setting
and meeting high expectations throughout their high school
experience.
