I have finally made it out on the K-Craft to do a bit more testing for stability and speed. I can
honestly say this platform gets better every time I use the hybrid SUP. The key to any of these
systems is to take only what is essential and plan your space accordingly. Since my first video on
the performance, speed, and overall fish ability, this system works with power.
Although paddling the system is straightforward, adding power close to the clean water under the
hull allows for smooth and responsive acceleration. I clocked this trip at a max speed of 6.3 mph
and it ran like a scolded ape all morning. Using a Honda 50cc customized for this platform is an ideal
way to enjoy getting the distance over various bodies of water.
We are working on a hybrid setup that will run gas for the long haul and electric to cruise around
once you are on-site. This will be a DC system powered by any power tool battery as long as you
have the correct battery adaptor to plug into the system.
