The Birobong Peak trail is a 11.6 km / 7.2 mi out and back trail with a 1,043 m / 3,421 ft elevation gain. The Birobong Peak trail is located in Sobaeksan National Park 소백산국립공원 in Danyang, South Korea. We parked at the Cheongdong entrance. We hiked this trail in mid October. The temperature was around 61 F / 16 C when we started and around 35 F / 1.6 C at the peak. It is extremely windy and cold at the peak. Bring lots of layers!
