In this video I start to make the steel work for the mezzanine floor.
First off I had to make some brackets that the main beam will sit on. These were cut out on the cnc plasma cutter then welded together.
The main posts of the building needed holes drilling in them for the brackets to bolt to, this was done with the mag drill with help from the laser level to make sure they were in the right place. The third bracket had to be made slightly longer to make up for the other post being smaller.
The main beam also had holes drilled in it to match the post brackets. I cnc plasma cut some cleats outs to weld into the beam for the purlins to be bolted to.
Last job was to manoeuvre the steel beam into place with the JCB.
