Pjotr Iljitsj Tchaikovsky - Serenade for strings | Amsterdam Sinfonietta

Tchaikovsky was world famous in 1880. He was known as the ambassador of Russian music. When he was asked to write music that would represent Russia, he wrote the Serenade for strings.
A mostly cheerful piece of music, containing 4 parts, from which the second, the Waltz, is well known.
