On Wednesday April 17th, Krissy and I headed up to Dismal to find the NKP 8100 fixing to depart for Consol on the rear of an empty train. I knew the locomotive was running around thanks to a tip from my buddy Joseph Grof. We headed up to Page Jct to wait for it. Pusher J79 was leading the train (U55) up the holler. The power on the pusher is a freshly rebuilt SD70ACC. You can see my cousin WJ (the conductor) open the door behind the engineer to wave at us. I was glad to finally get a heritage unit over here again. If they aren't in Pennsylvania, they are out west on BNSF.
