New York Fashion Week AW 15 | Hair & Makeup by Aveda

For the Costello Tagliapietra show, Aveda’s Global Artistic Direct for Makeup, Janell Geason, went for an enhanced natural look that emphasized youthful beauty. To create this look, shape the eye with the petal essence™ face accents in Tesserae. Next, illuminate the cheeks with Aveda’s beautifying composition™oil. For the lips, mix together the nourish-mint™ rehydrating lip glaze in Pink Hibiscus and Fire Poppy and apply as a stain.

To create the hairstyles at the Naadam Cashmere show, Aveda’s Global Artistic Director for Hair Styling, Allen Ruiz, was inspired by the modern-day hippie look. To give the hair texture and a semi-matte look, use Aveda’s pure abundance™ style-prep™ and then blowdry it into the hair. Then, taking two c-shape sections of your hair, let the hair that is on top fall over and rope the hair around the sections. Secure this style into place with an elastic band and finish the look with Aveda’s air control™ hair spray.

Aveda’s Global Creative Director, Antoinette Beenders, brought the ‘90s club look to the Public School runway with her Quick, Set, Go hairstyle. To create this look, use Aveda’s brilliant™ retexturing gel and apply for a half wet, half dry effect. Next, add some wave through the front of your hair by setting it with clips. Once achieved, use your fingers to mess your hair as if you’ve been clubbing for a couple of hours. For men looking to create this look, use Aveda’s men pure-formance™ liquid pomade.
