Realizing she has prepared a feast for a cosmic swarm, the astronaut makes a desperate decision. Unable to fight, she becomes a ghost inside the machine—stowing away on the alien vessel to escape the harvest.
Trapped in the cargo hold of a ship not built for human life, she uploads her AI, hijacks the navigation, and steals the vessel from its masters. But the cost of freedom is time. With a new destination locked in but centuries to travel, she must build a cocoon of resin and surrender to the Stasis Dream.
This chapter evolves from dark, driving tech-trance tension into a heroic, emotional, and dreamlike finale.
