Just my two cents onto the topic. I've seen a lot of videos where people complain about softness or impressed by sharpness. Here is my thoughts why such opposite opinions are there.
Helios 44-2 is the most popular vintage lens as it is most produced ever. Finding a good one can be tricky, but totally possible.
This lens is used by budget photographers/videographers, as well as on big productions like Batman movie. So it is definitely worth to try one.
Prices ranges from 20-100+ USD, I got my for 20 USD each.
