Lyric Opera's newest family opera composed by Lori Laitman and Dana Gioia follows the story of Maya, a 9-year-old girl, who finds a magic ring that contains a Genie within. When the genie gives her three wishes, he also provides her a warning: Be careful what you wish for. Hilarious antics ensue as Maya struggles to heed the genie's lesson.
