Dust, heat, noise, sand and camels! The rugged and capable Hawker Siddeley Andover proved to be a fantastic workhorse in Somalia when the United Nations came calling for help to solve a humanitarian crisis back in 1993. RNZAF Air Force Museum Director Brett Marshall, who was one of the No. 42 Squadron pilots on the mission, describes what it was like living beside the runway at Mogadishu and why the Andover was the perfect aircraft for the job. The talk was part of the Air Force Museum of New Zealand's RNZAF History Bites series.
