This performance of Cradle Hymn offers a moment of stillness and reflection at the heart of the Christmas season. Sung by the Young Men’s Ensemble, Kim André Arnesen’s setting captures the tenderness, reverence, and quiet beauty of the Nativity through rich choral textures and expressive lyricism.

The Georgia Boy Choir has performed many of Arnesen’s works over the years and had the privilege of meeting the composer in his hometown of Trondheim, Norway in 2024, during a visit to Nidaros Cathedral where he started his musical journey. His music holds a special place in the choir’s repertoire, and Cradle Hymn remains one of its most moving expressions of Christmas.
