2. Compute Optimized instances are ideal for compute-intensive applications that benefit from high-performance processors. Use cases include batch processing, media transcoding, and dedicated gaming servers.

3. Memory-optimized instances are designed to deliver fast performance for workloads that process large data sets in memory. Use cases include real-time big data analytics, in-memory caches, and open-source databases.

4. Accelerated computing instances use hardware accelerators to perform functions such as graphics processing and data pattern matching more efficiently. Use cases include machine learning, speech recognition, and autonomous vehicles.

5. Storage-optimized instances are designed for workloads that require high, sequential read and write access to very large data sets on local storage. Use cases include transactional databases, search engines, and data streaming.

6. High-performance computing or HPC instances are purpose-built to offer the best price-performance for running HPC workloads at scale on AWS. Use cases include weather forecasting, molecular dynamics, and crash simulations.
