Step back in time with us on our first day in Bursa! After the spiritual journey of visiting the tomb of Osman Ghazi and the magnificent Ulu Cami, we head to the foothills of Uludağ to discover the incredible Cumalikizik.
This UNESCO World Heritage site is a living museum, with cobblestone streets and historic houses that have stood for over 700 years. Founded on a Friday (which is what "Cuma" refers to!), the village seemed crowded with life and history. We spent hours getting lost, explored the villages, houses and its streets, and soaked in the atmosphere.
You'll see why this place is so special. And of course, with lots of coffee and restaurant options, we made sure to refuel with some traditional Turkish gözleme!
A huge thank you to Bekir Ustun, our amazing driver, who made our entire Bursa trip seamless. We said good bye to Bekir Ustun as we returned to hotel, filled with unforgettable memories.
