Winter turns to Spring 2025

We take a break from the field work in the wet winter, but it's full on with hedge planting and coppicing what the sap is down in the tree roots. The sheep need feeding whatever time of year it is and the boys are busy on all the maintenance jobs while they wait to crack on with the Spring planting. We have a major sheep rethink in light of wet winters on our heavy clay soils and a bakery moves into the farm feeding us and the delegates who attend conferences here. The sun comes out, we cant help from smiling and finally those Spring barley and oat seeds get into the ground. What's not to like!
