This is a tremendous chance to learn from our animal health colleagues Dr. Whitney Knauer and Dr. Emily Barrell, University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine, regarding your sheep and goat operations .
Dr. Knauer will discuss pre-breeding management for sheep and goats. Dr. Barrell will focus on hoof diseases and the basics of hoof trimming to prepare for fall.
“Hoof maintenance and animal health prior to breeding are keys to small ruminant success,” says Travis Hoffman, NDSU/UMN Extension sheep specialist.
