Anne Arundel County's new snow-and-ice-removal law sets a time for how long homeowners and businesses have to clear their sidewalks. The county's new law requires sidewalks be cleared within 24 hours after a storm for which snow accumulation was less than 3 inches and 48 hours for storms of more than 3 inches. County residents can file complaints by calling 311 or submitting them through See-Click-Fix. Offenders will be given another 24 hours to comply before the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works sends a crew to remove the snow and ice. Homeowners could then be fined $50 fine, while businesses and other properties could get fined $125.
