A police reservist was shot dead while three others escaped unscathed in a dawn ambush orchestrated by bandits in Baringo South. The incident that popped the lid on the slow but fatal return of bandits in the area happened when the reservists headed towards a security road construction site to relieve their colleagues who held forth during the night. And as Hassan mugambi reports residents of Baringo South are now calling on interior cabinet secretary prof. Kithure Kindiki to address the fading alertness of officers deployed in the volatile North Rift.
