My design stag pens.
Some things I did not include in my video, is that the ground cover I use to build my pens is 3'x300' from "greenhouse megastore" and is around $50 for 300ft!!
And I attach it across the bottom with the same hog rings I use on the rest of the pen.
Also, you DO NOT want the edges overlapping to the inside of the pen because if the fowl can scratch at it, they will make it start to unravel.
My older pens do have a 4x4 wood frame on the bottom and they are sturdier pens but will cost you over twice as much!
This design uses NO 2x4s, No Screws, and NO Poultry Staples (that would be used to attach the ground cover to the wood frame).
