25th of March 2023. What an exciting day of diesels this was!
We visited the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway to see the sole surviving class 17 diesel (aka Clayton type 1 or just Clayton) in action. D8568 worked hard on the heritage railway with a generous quantity of both thrash and clag! We got to have a look in the cab and a splendid ride along the line.
Later in the day we stopped into Earley station to see heritage DEMU "Hasting Unit" 1001 retuning on a railtour.
We have also included a stop-motion animation Simon made on his wooden railway, inspired by our visit.
