Hike to the summit of Festvågtind in midnight sun

I hike to the top of the mountain Festvågtind in Lofoten and get to see some spectacular views of Henningsvær, the fjord, nearby mountains as well as the midnight sun. At 541 meters (1,775 feet) it’s a fairly easy hike, but I enjoy the views so much, and the experience of watching the midnight sun, that I stayed on the top throughout the night (I started hiking at 11pm and got back to the car at around 6am). As the sun begins to rise I hear birds chirping and it’s time to head back down.

Location: The mountain is called Festvågtind and is located near Henningsvær in Lofoten, Norway.
