Lessons To Be Learned
1.)
It’s the fifteenth year of waiting here on my own in the dust
With all the history that nobody needs to be supervised by Caesar's bust.
The sweet smell of mold is coming from behind the shelves.
And the fundament is ready to burst, I’d better spare you the details.
2.)
I can hear the citizens coughing at any time of day.
And the feet of unborn kids are echoing from far away.
A toilet seat is making noises and I wish it was just that.
But I can feel the ground shaking from sounds coming from a butt.

There are lessons to be learned in every small room. And I’ve learned them all.
So I guess it’s time to move on and start anew. I’m ready for a call.
3.)
The locked-in-effect makes a whole generation stay at home.
And a passive crowd of wannabes is now entering the danger zone.
The old stories are told and everything’s just repetition.
Say it loud and proud: We don’t need poets with a mission.
