From Cheyenne Yard to Laramie Yard (Intermodal)

Sherman Hill stretches 58 miles (93 kilometers) between the classic railroad cities of Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming, crossing the Continental Divide at an elevation of 8.015 feet. One of the crowning achievements of America's Transcontinental Railroad, the route was built in the early 1860s and ever since has been a mecca of America railroading at its best. Throughout the decades, Sherman Hill, with its tough 1.5 percent westbound grade across the Laramie Mountains, has been home to Union Pacific's biggest and best motive power, with today's third-generation, high-horsepower diesels, hauling double stacks, autos, manifest freight, coal and more.

The train is UP AC4400CW Diesel Electric Locomotive from General Electric 1993 - 2004 with a 4-cycle model 7FDL16 engine, and the train has 6 locomotives and 100 freight wagons (Continental Intermodal) and the weight is 8,449.3 tons, and its 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) long and the train operator is UP (Union Pacific).

In this video, the freight train stops 1 time in total, and the train ride is 92.59 kilometers (57.53 miles) from the start position at Cheyenne Yard, and the weather conditions are summer clear.
