Performance and throughput are the 2 main reason you purchase a horizontal splitter over a vertical. The horizontal platform outproduces the vertical by 2:1 in most applications with typically less effort.

The biggest thing with a horizontal is getting the right wedge for the right type of wood you are running in order to optimize its performance. The nice thing is we have multiple wedge options our horizontal splitters. From a 4 way to a 12 way wedge and 3 different box wedge options all on one platform.
