Today I’m rounding out Monster High’s new Self-Scare Secrets line of dolls with Draculaura and Venus McFlytrap!
The first time I bought these dolls off of Amazon they were wonky and I just didn’t want to commit to opening two dolls that I knew had messed up faces that I wouldn’t like.
Thankfully the one I ordered off of Target came in and look muchhh better!
Self-Scare Secrets is a new budget-esque line of dolls that retails for $22.
These dolls feel like a fresh take on the slumber party “Creepover” theme that Monster High loves to do.
They are less about slumbering and more about the self-care prep time that you do before going to sleep, after waking up etc. so these dolls don’t have fashion that feels restricted to pajamas and the sort.
The biggest downside to these dolls, besides from having polypropylene hair, is that they are still mystery style packaging!
It’s not as egregious as buried secrets where once you open the plastic wrap you’re committed to the doll AND you know which character you’re getting from the jump, so there are improvements but my point still stands.
Overall I really adore these Drac and Venus dolls, I hope you enjoy today’s video!
