The CEO-elect of the Walt Disney Company, Bob Eger welcomes us to the Happiest Celebration on earth. The 50th anniversary of Disneyland and Disney Parks. Sleeping Beauty’s Castle has undergone an overnight transformation to celebrate the 50th anniversary, and Disney parks around the world will be joining the celebration. 2005 not only marks the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, but it also marks the largest expansion of new attractions at Disney parks globally. Art Linkletter, host of the 1955 Disneyland Opening celebration joins the celebration to reminisce and share stories from opening day. New attractions coming to Disneyland include: Block Party Bash, Parade of Dreams, The First 50 Magical Years, Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters and Remember Dreams Come True Fireworks. The Additional at Disneyland is just the beginning, in addition, Disney parks around the globe will be joining the celebration. Tokyo Disneyland: Disney’s Rock Around the Mouse, a 1950s California themed show, at Tokyo DisneySea Raging Spirits roller coaster. Hong Kong Disneyland will be opening its gates. Disneyland Paris, Space Mountain Mission 2 along with Wishes Nighttime Fireworks. Disney Cruise Lines will premier West Coast Voyages and Walt Disney World in Florida will be adding a new attraction in each of it’s 4 parks including Cinderellabratinon, Lucky the Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Soarin’ and Lights Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. Michael Eisner joins the celebration and introducing the Global Celebration of Disney Parks. Julie Andrews shares a few stories about the beginning of Disneyland and welcomes Disney Characters Home for the celebration.
