This may be my new favorite amp! Looks like a Hiwatt, roars like a Marshall and weighs as much as a ham & cheese sub. It's the Reeves Custom 10 HG, a single channel guitar head that packs a big sound in a small package. Glorious distortion, warm cleans and inspiring hard rock overdrive tones.
No effects loop, no channel switching. Just pure touch sensitive rock and roll bliss!
The guitar used is a Gibson Les Paul equipped with a Dimarzio Tone Zone bridge humbucker and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates neck humbucker plugged straight into the amp. Most of the tones are from the bridge pickup and I kept all guitar volumes on 10. A less hot pickup or a slight pull back in volume would have cleaned up some of the grit you hear in the clean tones, but I wanted to keep my presentation simple. You'll hear the full range of gain on tap, as I start off in the Lo input and then follow by playing through the Hi input.
Recorded by running the head into the Two Notes Torpedo Captor into an impulse response of a Vintage 30 4x12 I purchased from Celestion Digital.
Reverb added in the mix courtesy of Two Notes Genome software.
