Usually you would need a batch job / JCL to use IDCAMS to perform actions on datasets. In this video we show you how to use IDCAMS on ISPF without having to submit a JCL.
This is useful for quick commands and when you are not sure about the syntax, as the VSAM utilities function builds a command that is syntactically correct.
