Chris Fogal (The Gamits, Tauntaun, Dwayne, Midrake) and Dan Fox own Black in Bluhm studios in Denver, Colorado. There Fogal has produced, mixed and mastered rockers the likes of Pears, Joey Cape, The Bombpops, Strung Out, and countless more.
During the Fall of 2020 Fogal and Fox wrote a batch of songs, then added Ian O'Dougherty (Uphollow, Ian Cooke, Slim Cessna's Auto Club) to play bass and co-produce.
"Solid State POS" is the first single from their Discomfort Creature EP, to be released April 2nd on bandcamp and April 9th on streaming services.

Playing music has always been necessary to maintain sanity—and that was never more true than in 2020. In one of the worst years in human history, three buds in Denver responded the best way they knew how: picking up their instruments to escape from the madness and misery.
The result came out nearly immediately. Discomfort Creature’s debut EP is a fast, powerful, and emotive outburst of pent-up energy in the form of seven heartfelt punk songs. Reflecting the need for action during a year frozen in time, Discomfort Creature churned out the project at a record pace, mixing urgent, tried-and-true riffs with lyrics pulled straight from the heart.
The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Black in Bluhm Music and will be released under the same label in 2021. Things are looking up for this year, but the need to rip remains: look for Discomfort Creature to hit the stage and put out another batch of jams sometime in 2021 and beyond.
