It was awesome to finally cross paths with Igor in Los Angeles 🙌🏼 We kept missing each other during our travels 🌎 From Mexico City to Buenos Aires, we heard so much about him from our friends! So when we finally met at The Lodge Barber Co. Igor told us he had just missed us in Malaysia shortly after we filmed at Son & Dad Barbershop - talk about timing!

Igor Sadurskii grew up in Russia near Moscow in a small, quiet town where everyone knows everyone. In his town, people considered it a big deal to move to Moscow let alone Los Angeles! Igor says, “That’s almost an impossible challenge, like going to the moon.” 🌝

In Russia, Igor states he “was a political activist protesting against dictatorship.” He adds, “It was a major part of my life and eventually brought danger - I had to leave and travel the world before fate brought me to the United States.”

💈 He’s been a barber for 9 years and was inspired by Reuzel and Schorem Barbershop after seeing some of their early videos.

Igor says, “I was captivated by the idea of working in such a creative industry, with the freedom to have as many tattoos as I want, dress up every day, and listen to rock ’n’ roll all day long - what else could I ask for?” 🎩✨

Igor loves traditional barbering! “With all its passion, respect for the craft, history, and attention to detail.” What it teaches is, “self-discipline, independence, and responsibility.”

“It gives you the opportunity to write your own story, filled with unforgettable characters and outstanding personalities.” ⭐️

His goal is to give people the best traditional barbering experience possible❣️ “Entertaining, educational, and unforgettable.” As well as surprising people every time so they are "a little addicted to my service,” and it would never cross their mind to go to another barber.

These days, he is proud to be working at the Lodge in Los Angeles alongside fellow passionate and experienced barbers who “truly understand the craft.”

✨ Igor’s life advice: “Stop building expectations based on other people, and take responsibility for your own life.” Also, “Work hard, don’t look for excuses, and stay disciplined.”
