ABOUT THE MHM: The 1832 late-Federal Merchant’s House Museum, intact to an amazing degree, with irreplaceable Greek Revival interiors, is among the finest surviving examples of domestic architecture from the era.

The first designated landmark in Manhattan following the passing of the Landmarks Preservation law in April 1965. It is one of only 120 interior landmarks in the NYC, and one of only 6 residences. The MHM is a National Historic Landmark (one of only 2,400) and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the only historic house museum in the Greenwich Village/NoHo area and celebrated 85 years as a museum in 2021.

ABOUT ANTHONY BELLOV: A native Brooklynite, award-winning videographer, classical pianist and tenor, public speaker, architectural historian, photographer, and preservationist, Anthony holds a Bachelor's in Architecture from Pratt Institute, and a Master's in Museum Leadership from Bank Street College. A long-time volunteer at the Merchant’s House Museum, he is also a board member of the American Research Center in Egypt and a member of the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
